Denis Guttridge
Denis Guttridge (Chair), Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Molecular Virology, Immunology, and Medical Genetics at Ohio State University Medical Center. He currently serves as director of the Center for Muscle Health and Neuromuscular Disease and the Cancer Cachexia Program at Ohio State University. His areas of expertise are in NF-κB signaling and the regulation of skeletal myogenesis and muscle disorders with an emphasis on cancer cachexia. In addition to serving as Chair of the 1st and 2nd Cancer Cachexia conferences, he served as a co-organizer for the "Molecular Mechanisms of Muscle Growth and Wasting in Health and Disease" meeting in Ascona, Switzerland in 2011, and as co-chair for the Gordon conference on "Myogenesis" in Il Ciocco, Italy in 2015.

Josep Argilés
Josep Argiles, Ph.D., is a Professor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Barcelona. He has been working on cancer cachexia since the late 1980's and was one of the early researchers in the cachexia field to link inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF to skeletal muscle wasting. He was also the first scientist to describe the mechanism responsible for the increased protein breakdown in skeletal muscle of cancer patients, which was a clear link to muscle wasting.

Teresa Zimmers
Teresa Zimmers, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine. Her area of expertise is in modeling muscle wasting in cancer and other chronic diseases. Dr. Zimmers initiated and now directs the Cachexia Working Group of the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center and the interdisciplinary Indiana University Purdue University Center for Cachexia Research, Innovation and Therapy. She served on the Scientific Planning Committee for the 2nd International Cancer Cachexia Conference in 2014 in Montreal.
