Virtual Cancer Cachexia Conference 2020
September 10-11, 2020
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to invite you to take part in our next Cancer Cachexia Conference, which this year due to COVID-19 is going to a virtual platform.
This original 5th conference has been postponed to 2021 and will be held in Montreal, Canada as originally planned. Our virtual program will take place September 10-11th, 2020. This meeting will retain much of the same scope as what we had originally planned pre-COVID, but in a condensed format. We will feature outstanding speakers, all leading scientists and physician-scientists actively working in important areas of cancer cachexia. Virtual oral and poster presentations will fill the 1½ day program. We plan to repeat a version of our pre-meeting focused on the advancement of clinical trials, with an emphasis on functional outcome measures and clinical trial results. We are excited to be adding some new topic sessions to this conference and again to highlight our “Next Generation Researchers in Cancer Cachexia,” which was ranked by our 2018 conference attendees as our most popular session.
We are excited that these and other activities in our program will ensure a successful meeting and encourage you to join us in September 2020!
Conference Chair: Dr. Denis Guttridge, Medical University of South Carolina
Co-Chairs: Dr. Marie Fallon, University of Edinburgh, Dr. Imed Gallouzi, McGill University, and Dr. Teresa A. Zimmers, Indiana University
